The epoxy is expensive and the process labour intensive. The manufacturer is focussed on craps dice for casinos, of which there is a big demand still to fill. All we have left in stock is a small amount of 16mm dice. I also admire him saying let's try it as it is first before we make too many changes. I like to think I have a good eye for what's interesting and getting it "in the ball park" but as you well know, I am not on Gary's level. Interesting news re your ...Thanks for reading Jim.

Interesting news re your current design efforts. I'm thinking lots of moving parts with freedom to maneuver will be a trademark of your designs. There no shortage of appetite for such things.

I too have been lending Fort a hand with his Burma Pack sequel and his France 1940 scenarios. He probably gets more from your feedback than mine though. But I try to help where I can.

I'd be interested in hearing what he has to say about my designs too. While it may cause me a lot of heartache in the short term, my cards would be improved immeasurably in the process.

ChrisChris Doaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06965145023794602433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1421727884790275990.post-59172320580946509022024-01-31T09:17:00.620-05:002024-01-31T09:17:00.620-05:00Interesting read Chris. One is for sure complete. Two are pretty close and I am waiting on some outside feedback. And the other three I just recently completed. These are mostly just scenario concepts that strike my fancy.

I also have an idea for another group of scenarios for which I am doing some initial digging. I am focusing on the things I like to play, trusting that I am "main stream" enough that others will enjoy them. I have no intention of new maps as I think newer maps are under used (and I have the data from Dave's archive to prove it). I think there is room for the good old fashioned scenario pack (5 - 10 cards with one scenario per side). I am not sure where or how I will publish. Time will tell. I just hope it covers ASLOk. :)

I have also been working with Fort on his Burma 2 pack and his in the works France pack. Not so much on design here, but on getting balance, playability, and fun in the right mix. It is also good to have Fort look over my stuff as he has a good eye for all the same. It's pretty rewarding to hear him say "This is the kind of stuff I like to play." It lets me know I am at least hitting the playability/interest mark.

Thanks for the post. I enjoyed reading it. -- jimJim Bishophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00489041882214350459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1421727884790275990.post-75563563593079834142023-12-10T10:02:24.537-05:002023-12-10T10:02:24.537-05:00Hi Esmaeli,

I played AP183 Patton's Ghost earlier this year. I think scenarios pitting North Koreans against US forces are very approachable. Like WO28 Dean's Defiance, which I've played several times, these scenarios can be a lot of fun. But I'm not sure we're there yet with regard to widespread popularity.

It's certainly a positive step forward. Provided we can still produce affordable dice in the future, Korean dice could very well become a reality. That said, they aren't in the production queue for 2022.

Thanks again for chiming in. It's really hard to guage demand for this conflict.Chris Doaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06965145023794602433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1421727884790275990.post-25952139200805051972022-04-13T20:30:54.861-04:002022-04-13T20:30:54.861-04:00Chris,
